Dr Danka Radić (1981) radi kao naučni saradnik na Institutu za opštu i fizičku hemiju Univerziteta u Beogradu. Nakon završenih doktorskih studija (2017. godine) radila je na Univerzitetu Edukons, Sremska Kamenica, kao docent i prodekan za nastavu. Tokom svog naučno-istraživačkog rada imala je više internacionalnih usvršavanja: trening na Raman mikroskopu na Institutu za fizičku hemiju Univerziteta Fridrih Šiler u Jeni (Nemačka); „Biološka kontrola mikroorganizama: mogućnosti i rizici“, Univerzitet u Segedinu, Segedin, Mađarska; „Fenotipizacija biljaka, mikroorganizama zemljišta i biljaka za održivu poljoprivredu“ na Slovačkom univerzitetu poljoprivrede u Nitri, Slovačka; Projekat EPPN 2020, Trichoderma – Interakcija sa biljkama za poboljšanje tolerancije na sušu, Slovački univerzitet poljoprivrede Nitra, Slovačka; Erazmus mobilnost osoblja na Univerzitetu Danubius, Galati, Rumunija i Varšavskom univerzitetu prirodnih nauka, Varšava, Poljska. Takođe, boravila je na institutu „Alfred Wegener“ u Helgolandu, Nemačka, povodom učešća na treningu za uzorkovanje vode i sedimenta i njihovu dalju pripremu, a u cilju određivanja mirkoplastike. Trening je deo projekta „GREENLand“, finansiranog od strane Evropske Komsije. Dr Danka Radić je bila rukovodilac projekta: „Nedestruktivne spektroskopske metode kao sredstvo za ispitivanje otpornosti mikroorganizama u zemljištu na teške metale i njihov potencijala za bioremedijaciju“ 142-451- 2586/2019-01, finansiran od strane Pokrajinskog sekretarijata za visoko obrazovanje i naučnoistraživački rad, Autonomna Pokrajina Vojvodina, Republika Srbija. Njene specifične naučne oblasti su: biotehnologija i poljoprivreda, mikrobiologija i ekološka mikrobiologija. Tehnički je ekspert iz oblasti mikrobiologije zemljišta i voda pri Akreditacionom telu Srbije. Takođe, učestvovala je u više evropskih projekata i IPA projektu. Član je Srpskog mikrobiološkog društva od 2011. godine. Autor je 56 bibliografskih jedinica, koje obuhvataju radove u međunarodnim časopisima i saopštenja sa međunarodnih i nacionalnih skupova

 

Dr. Danka Radić (1981) works as a research associate at the Institute of General and Physical Chemistry, University of Belgrade. After completing her doctoral studies in 2017, she worked at Educons University, Sremska Kamenica, as an assistant professor and vice dean for education. During her scientific research work, she underwent several international trainings: training on the Raman microscope at the Institute of Physical Chemistry, Friedrich Schiller University in Jena (Germany); "Biological Control of Microorganisms: Opportunities and Risks" at the University of Szeged, Szeged, Hungary; "Plant Phenotyping, Soil and Plant Microorganisms for Sustainable Agriculture" at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Slovakia; EPPN 2020 Project, Trichoderma – Interaction with Plants to Improve Drought Tolerance, Slovak University of Agriculture Nitra, Slovakia; Erasmus staff mobility at Danubius University, Galati, Romania and University of Warsaw, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Warsaw, Poland. Additionally, she stayed at the Alfred Wegener Institute in Helgoland, Germany, participating in training for water and sediment sampling and their further preparation for microplastic determination. The training is part of the "GREENLand" project, funded by the European Commission. Dr. Danka Radić was the project leader for: "Non-destructive Spectroscopic Methods as a Means of Studying Soil Microorganism Resistance to Heavy Metals and Their Potential for Bioremediation" 142-451- 2586/2019-01, funded by the Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research, Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Republic of Serbia. Her specific scientific areas include biotechnology and agriculture, microbiology, and ecological microbiology. She is a technical expert in the field of soil and water microbiology at the Accreditation Body of Serbia. Furthermore, she has participated in several European projects and IPA projects. She has been a member of the Serbian Microbiological Society since 2011. She is the author of 56 bibliographic units, including papers in international journals and presentations at international and national conferences.

Dr Miloš Rajković

Dr Miloš Rajković je rođen u Subotici 4.8.1984. godine. Završio je osnovnu školu „Miroslav Antić“ na Paliću, a potom prirodni smer gimnazije „Svetozar Marković“ u Subotici. Osnovne studije na Poljoprivrednom fakultetu u Novom Sadu, smer zaštita bilja, upisao je 2003. godine i diplomirao 2007. godine. Master studije fitomedicine smer herbologija završio je 2009. godine. Doktorsku disertaciju „Suzbijanje korova primenom plamena u usevima kukuruza i soje“ odbranio je 2018. godine na Poljoprivrednom fakultetu Univerziteta u Beogradu. 

U Institutu za ratarstvo i povrtarstvo u Novom Sadu radio je 2010-2023 godine kao istraživač na poslovima herbologije. Pored fizičkog suzbijanja korova plamenom, bavio se ispitivanjem efikasnosti herbicida, uključujući registraciju herbicida, razvojne i demo oglede, oglede sa protektantima i regulatorima rasta biljaka, stvaranju hibrida tolerantnih na herbicide, testiranje linija kukuruza i suncokreta na herbicide i rezistentnost korova na herbicide. Sve u cilju iznalaženja optimalnih mera suzbijanja korova i bezbedne upotrebe herbicida, kako u konvencionalnoj tako i u organskoj proizvodnji. Bavi se i preciznom poljoprivredom u oblasti primene dronova u zaštiti bilja. 

Obavljao je funkcije pomoćnika sekretara za poljoprivredu, vodoprivredu i šumarstvo u Pokrajinskoj Vladi, predsednika organizacionog odbora XI Kongresa o korovima i regulatorima rasta i predsednika UO Vojvođanskog klastera organske poljoprivrede. Član je Evropskog društva za suzbijanje korova, Herbološkog društva Srbije i Društva za zaštitu bilja Srbije. Specijalizacije je imao 2010. godine u Kini (Nanjing), 2018. godine u  Izraelu (Tel Aviv), 2019. godine u Turskoj (Antalija) i 2023. godine u Kini (Peking). Na Fakultetu ekološke poljoprivrede Edukons Univerziteta drži nastavu na osnovnim, master i doktorskim studijama. Učesnik je 7 Horizon, 3 međunarodna i 7 nacionalnih projekata, a objavio je 104 naučne publikacije.

 

Dr. Miloš Rajković was born in Subotica on August 4, 1984. He completed elementary school at "Miroslav Antić" in Palić, followed by the natural sciences track at the "Svetozar Marković" gymnasium in Subotica. He enrolled in undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, specializing in plant protection, in 2003 and graduated in 2007. He completed his master's studies in phytopathology, specializing in herbology, in 2009. He defended his doctoral dissertation titled "Weed Control Using Flame in Corn and Soybean Crops" in 2018 at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade.

He worked at the Institute of Field and Vegetable Crops in Novi Sad from 2010 to 2023 as a herbology researcher. In addition to physical weed control using flame, he conducted research on the efficacy of herbicides, including herbicide registration, developmental and demonstration trials, trials with protectants and plant growth regulators, creation of herbicide-tolerant hybrids, testing of corn and sunflower lines for herbicides, and weed resistance to herbicides. All aimed at finding optimal weed control measures and safe herbicide use in both conventional and organic production. He also engages in precision agriculture in the field of drone application in plant protection.

He held positions as assistant secretary for agriculture, water management, and forestry in the Provincial Government, president of the organizing committee of the 11th Congress on Weeds and Plant Growth Regulators, and president of the Board of Directors of the Vojvodina Cluster of Organic Agriculture. He is a member of the European Weed Research Society, the Serbian Herbological Society, and the Serbian Plant Protection Society. He completed specializations in China (Nanjing) in 2010, Israel (Tel Aviv) in 2018, Turkey (Antalya) in 2019, and China (Beijing) in 2023. He teaches at the Faculty of Environmental Agriculture at Educons University at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels. Dr Saša Krstović

Saša Krstović, docent za užu naučnu oblast Ishrana životinja je aktivan u pripremi i implementaciju nacionalnih i Evropskih projekata iz oblasti tehnološkog razvoja i inovacija. Osnovna istraživačka interesovanja su mu održiva poljoprivreda i cirkularna ekonomija, kvalitet i bezbednost hrane i hrane za životinje, razvoj alternativnih i održivih rešenja u poljoprivredi. Pored toga, svakodnevno učestvuje u osposobljavanju naučnog podmlatka, a trenutno je mentor ili komentor 4 doktorske disertacije. Autor je većeg broja naučnih radova i saopštenja. Ima preko 300 citata bez autocitata i Hiršov indeks 9 (izvor: SCOPUS). Aktivno se služi engleskim jezikom. 

 

Saša Krstović, an associate professor in the field of Animal Nutrition, is actively involved in the preparation and implementation of national and European projects in the field of technological development and innovation. His primary research interests lie in sustainable agriculture and circular economy, food quality and safety, as well as animal feed, and the development of alternative and sustainable solutions in agriculture. Additionally, he regularly participates in training young researchers and is currently mentoring or co-mentoring 4 doctoral dissertations. He has authored numerous scientific papers and presentations, with over 300 citations excluding self-citations and a Hirsch index of 9 (source: SCOPUS). He is proficient in English.

Kamenko Bratković

Poljoprivredni fakultet, smer ratarstvo završio 2007. godine u Zemunu kao student generacije. Od 2007. godine zaposlen u Centru za strna žita u Kragujevcu na poslovima selekcije ječma i ovsa. Doktorsku disertaciju odbranio 2015.godine i stekao titulu doktora biotehničkih nauka. Trenutno naučno zvanje je naučni saradnik. Do sada objavio oko 50 naučnih radova i koautor je 2 sorte strnih žita.

 

Kamenko graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture, specializing in Field Crops, in 2007 in Zemun, being recognized as the student of the year. Since 2007, they have been employed at the Center for Cereal Crops in Kragujevac, focusing on barley and oat selection. They defended their doctoral dissertation in 2015, earning the title of Doctor of Biotechnical Sciences. Currently, they hold the position of research associate. They have published approximately 50 scientific papers and have co-authored 2 varieties of cereal crops.

Dr Olivera Nikolić

Olivera Nikolić je, od 2001. godine, bila zaposlena u Institutu za istraživanja u poljoprivredi „Srbija“, Centru za strna žita u Kragujevcu, u Odeljenju za agrotehniku i fiziologiju biljaka i angažovana na istrsživanjima efikasnosti ishrane strnih žita azotom i drugih aspekata primene đubriva i mineralne ishrane biljaka. Od januara 2010. godine, svoje radno angažovanje nastavlja na Fakultetu ekološke poljoprivrede, Edukons Univerziteta u Sremskoj Kamenici, kao docent. Na ovom Fakultetu je, 2015., birana u zvanje vanredni, a 2020., u zvanje redovni profesor. Angažovana je na svim nivoima studija, obavljala je i dužnost prodekana za saradnju sa privredom, a od 1. oktobra 2022. Je na dužnosti dekanice Fakulteta. Pod mentorstvom Olivere Nikolić, odbranjeno je preko 20 završnih i četiri master rada, a bila je član Komisje za odbranu jedne doktorske disertacije. 
Tokom 2004. godine obavila je specijalizaciju na Univerzitetu Cornell (Ithaca, NY), u SAD, u oblasti fiziologije i oplemenjivanja strnih žita. Učestvovala je u Erasmus programu razmene akademskog osoblja, na Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Faculty of Human Nutrition and Consumer Sciences WULS, u Poljskoj, 2016. i Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", Department of Plant Physiology, Faculty of Biology,:u Bugarskoj, 2018. godine. Poseduje sertifikat o uspešno završenoj obuci za primenu metoda i tehnika aktivnog učenja/nastave na Univerzitetu, sprovedene u organizaciji Obrazovnog foruma Beograd, u periodu od 2013. do 2016. godine, kao i sertifikat za upravljanje ruralnim razvojem u Srbiji, za šta je obuku sproveo Zavod za proučavanje sela, Beograd, 2008. godine. Olivera Nikolić je bila član tima za izradu nacionalne Strategije poljoprivrede i ruralnog razvoja 2014 – 2024.
U svom dosadašnjem radu, bila je angažovana na velikom broju domaćih i međunarodnih projekata, u oblasti nauke i obrazovanja. Koautor je na sorti pšenice Rujna I autor I koautor više od 120 naučnih radova. Učestvovala je na brojnim domaćim i međunarodnim skupovima, stručnim tribinama, savetovanjima i projektima lokalne zajednice u oblasti organske poljoprivrede i upravljanja otpadom.  
Govori engleski i služi se ruskim jezikom.


Olivera Nikolić has been employed at the Institute for Agricultural Research "Srbija", Center for Cereal Crops in Kragujevac, in the Department of Agrotechnics and Plant Physiology since 2001, where she has been engaged in research on the efficiency of nitrogen nutrition in cereal crops and other aspects of fertilizer application and mineral plant nutrition. Since January 2010, she has continued her work at the Faculty of Environmental Agriculture, Educons University in Sremska Kamenica, as an assistant professor. In 2015, she was promoted to associate professor, and in 2020, to full professor at the same Faculty. She is involved in all levels of studies and has also served as the vice dean for cooperation with industry. Since October 1, 2022, she has been serving as the dean of the Faculty.

 

Olivera Nikolić completed a specialization at Cornell University (Ithaca, NY), USA, in the field of physiology and breeding of cereal crops in 2004. She participated in the Erasmus exchange program for academic staff at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Faculty of Human Nutrition and Consumer Sciences in Poland, in 2016, and at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", Department of Plant Physiology, Faculty of Biology, in Bulgaria, in 2018. She holds a certificate for successfully completing training in active learning/teaching methods at the Educational Forum Belgrade from 2013 to 2016, as well as a certificate in rural development management in Serbia, conducted by the Institute for Rural Studies, Belgrade, in 2008. Olivera Nikolić was a member of the team that developed the national Agriculture and Rural Development Strategy 2014-2024.

 

Throughout her career, she has been involved in numerous domestic and international projects in the fields of science and education. She is a co-author of the wheat variety "Rujna" and the author and co-author of more than 120 scientific papers. She has participated in numerous domestic and international conferences, expert panels, consultations, and local community projects in the areas of organic agriculture and waste management.

 

Olivera Nikolić is fluent in English and proficient in Russian.

A doctor of biochemical sciences, specialized in the field of environmental biotechnology, researches microbial bioremediation for cleaning up underground waters and soils contaminated with oil, waste oils, and heavy metals.

Милан Бранков је рођен 16. септембра 1986. у Београду. Основну и средњу школу завршио је у Панчеву. Пољопривредни факултет Универзитета у Београду је уписао 2005. године, а дипломирао 2009. године на Одсеку за заштиту биља и прехрамбених производа са просечном оценом 9,21. Дипломски рад под називом „Толерантност Сумо-1-пр хибрида на трибенурон-метил“ одбранио је са оценом 10. У току студирања, Милан Бранков је био стипендиста Министарства просвете (школске године 2006/07 и 2007/08), стипендиста Фонда за младе таленте (Министарство омладине и спорта) (2008/09). Добитник је награде и плакете коју додељује задужбина „Никола Спасић“ као најбољи дипломирани студент Пољопривредног факултета школске 2008/09 године (2009). Био је и стипендиста Министарства просвете, науке и технолошког развоја (2010-2013) и добитник је стипендије Министарства за постдокторско усавршавање у иностранству (2019). 

Milan Brankov was born on September 16, 1986, in Belgrade. He completed his primary and secondary education in Pančevo. He enrolled at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade, in 2005 and graduated in 2009 from the Department of Plant Protection and Food Products Protection with an average grade of 9.21. His diploma thesis titled "Tolerance of Sumo-1-PR hybrids to tribenuron-methyl" was defended with a grade of 10. During his studies, Milan Brankov was a scholarship recipient of the Ministry of Education (during the school years 2006/07 and 2007/08) and the Fund for Young Talents (Ministry of Youth and Sports) (2008/09). He received the award and plaque presented by the "Nikola Spasić" Endowment as the best graduate student of the Faculty of Agriculture for the academic year 2008/09 (2009). He was also a scholarship recipient of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development (2010-2013) and received a scholarship from the Ministry for postdoctoral training abroad (2019).

Dr Mirjana Bojović je diplomirala i doktorirala na Prirodno-matematičkom fakultetu Univerziteta u Novom Sadu. Od 2019. godine zaposlena je na Fakultetu ekološke poljoprivrede Univerziteta Educons. Učestvuje u izvođenju nastave na osnovnim, master i doktorskim studijama. Tematika naučnih radova gde je dr Mirjana Bojović autor ili koautor obuhvata sledeće naučne discipline: fiziologija biljaka i ekofiziologija, genetika sa oplemenjivanjem biljaka i biotehnologija. Naučni radovi gde je dr Mirjana Bojović koautor su citirani 40 puta u vidu heterocitata i autocitata na međunarodnom nivou, za period od 2019-2023. godine. Njen H-index za period 2017-2023. godina, prema Scopus indeksnoj bazi, iznosi 5. Dr Mirjana Bojović učestvuje u realizaciji međunarodnih i nacionalnih projekata.

Dr. Mirjana Bojović graduated and obtained her doctorate at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad. Since 2019, she has been employed at the Faculty of Environmental Agriculture, Educons University. She participates in teaching at the undergraduate, master, and doctoral levels. The topics of scientific papers where Dr. Mirjana Bojović is the author or co-author cover the following scientific disciplines: plant physiology and ecophysiology, genetics with plant breeding, and biotechnology. Scientific papers where Dr. Mirjana Bojović is a co-author have been cited 40 times internationally, including both heterocitations and autocitations, for the period from 2019 to 2023. Prof. dr Dragana Šunjka angažovana je na Poljoprivrednom fakultetu Univerziteta u Novom Sadu. Diplomirala je na Prirodno-matematičkom fakultetu, magistrirala i doktorirala na Poljoprivrednom fakultetu Univerziteta u Novom Sadu. Doktorsku disertaciju odbranila je 2013. godine; od 2021. godine je u zvanju vanrednog profesora. Postdoktorsko usavršavanje, finansirano od strane Swiss Natonal Science Foundation, je obavila na prestižnom Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Švajcarska). Izvodi nastavu na osnovnim, master i doktorskim akademskim studijama, na šest studijskih programa. 
Glavni istraživački interesi orijentisani su ka bezbednosti hrane i zaštiti životne sredine; ponašanju pesticida u poljoprivrednim proizvodima i životnoj sredini; kvalitetu pesticida; instrumentalnim analizama. U poslednje vreme, značajan deo istraživačke aktivnosti fokusira se na razvoj i formulaciju biopesticida i bioaktivnih jedinjenja. 
Tokom dosadašnje karijere, objavila je preko 320 publikacija, naučnih radova međunarodnog i nacionalnog značaja, praktikum, udžbenik, poglavlja u tri monografije, urednik je monografije međunarodnog značaja. Učestvovala je na 20 nacionalnih i međunarodnih projekata kao koordinator ili član projektnog tima. Član je Organizacionog i Naučnog odbora međunarodnih i nacionalnih skupova i recenzent radova u međunarodnim časopisima. Kao predavač po pozivu, učestvovala je na međunarodnim i nacionalnim konferencijama. Usavršavala se u zemlji i inostrantstvu. 
Mentor je velikog broja završnih radova na osnovnim i master studijama; član komisije za odranu dve doktorske disertacija. Rukovodilac je tri doktorske disertacije. Mentor je studentskih naučnih radova nagrađenih na naučnim konferencijama u zemlji i inostranstvu. Pored angažovanja u nastavi i nauci, dr Dragana Šunjka aktivno učestvuje u radu Laboratorije za biološka istraživanja i pesticide Poljoprivrednog fakulteta. Osim na izvođenju analiza, angažovana je i na uvođenju i održavanju standarda SRPS ISO 17025:2017. Aktivno govori engleski jezik. 


Prof. Dr. Dragana Šunjka is engaged at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad. She graduated from the Faculty of Sciences, obtained her master's and doctoral degrees from the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad. She defended her doctoral dissertation in 2013 and has held the position of associate professor since 2021. She conducted postdoctoral training, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, at the prestigious Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland). She teaches at undergraduate, master's, and doctoral academic programs across six study programs.

Her main research interests are focused on food safety and environmental protection, pesticide behavior in agricultural products and the environment, pesticide quality, and instrumental analysis. Recently, a significant part of her research activities has been focused on the development and formulation of biopesticides and bioactive compounds. 

Throughout her career, she has published over 320 publications, including scientific papers of international and national significance, practical manuals, textbooks, and chapters in three monographs. She is also the editor of an internationally significant monograph. She has participated in 20 national and international projects as a coordinator or team member. She is a member of the Organizing and Scientific Committees of international and national conferences and a reviewer for papers in international journals. As an invited lecturer, she has participated in international and national conferences and has undergone training both domestically and abroad.

She has mentored numerous undergraduate and master's theses and served as a committee member for the defense of two doctoral dissertations. She supervises three doctoral dissertations and mentors student scientific papers awarded at scientific conferences both domestically and internationally. Besides her teaching and research activities, Dr. Dragana Šunjka actively participates in the work of the Laboratory for Biological Research and Pesticides at the Faculty of Agriculture. In addition to performing analyses, she is also involved in the implementation and maintenance of the SRPS ISO 17025:2017 standards. She is fluent in English.

Marija Lesjak rođena je 6. februara 1984. godine u Novom Sadu. Posle završene Gimnazije „Jovan Jovanović-Zmaj“ u Novom Sadu – prirodno-matematički smer, upisala je Osnovne studije hemije, smer biohemija, na Departmanu za hemiju, biohemiju i zaštitu životne sredine, Prirodno-matematičkog fakulteta Univerziteta u Novom Sadu i diplomirala 2007. Godine, sa prosečnom ocenom 9,37. Iste godine upisala je Master studije biohemije koje je završila godinu kasnije sa prosečnom ocenom 10,00. Godine 2011. je na istom Departmanu i doktorirala, sa prosečnom ocenom 9,80. Dok je završavala prvi doktorat dobila je stipendiju na UCL-u u Londonu, pa je 2011. upisala je i doktorske studije molekularne biologije na University College London, Research Department of Structural and Molecular Biology, Division of Biosciences, London, UK, i doktorsku disertaciju odbranila 2015. godine.
Na Departmanu za hemiju, biohemiju i zaštitu životne sredine Prirodno-matematičkog fakulteta Univerziteta u Novom Sadu, bila je istraživač-pripravnik (2007-2010), istraživač-saradnik (2010-2012), naučni saradnik (2012-2013), docent (2013-2018), vanredni profesor (2018-2023), a od 2023 je redovni profesor. 
Dobitnica je mnogih nagrada i priznanja kod nas i u inostranstvu. Među najznačajnijim su: Specijalna Nagrada „Dr Zoran Đinđić“ za mladog naučnika i istraživača za sveukupan doprinos u nauci koju dodeljuje Univerzitet u Novom Sadu (2018), stipendija „Pokreni se za nauku“ koju dodeljuje kompanija Philip Morris A.D. Niš u saradnji sa Centrom za razvoj liderstva u Srbiji (2016), nacionalna stipendija „LʼOréal-UNESCO Za žene u nauci“, koju dodeljuje Ministarstvo prosvete, nauke i tehnološkog razvoja, Nacionalna komisija za saradnju sa UNESCO-m i kompanije L’Oréal Balkan, Srbija (2016), Nagrada za najboljeg mladog naučnika Prirodno-matematičkog fakulteta Univerziteta u Novom Sadu (2015), prestižna Dr. Willmar Schwabe nagrade za mlade istraživače koju dodeljuje Society for Medicinal Plant and Natural Product Research (2011), UCL Overseas Research Scholarship za doktorske studije molekularne biologije na University College London, koju dodeljuje University College London, Velika Britanija (2011-2015), stipendija Ministarstva prosvete, nauke i tehnološkog razvoja Republike Srbije kao
 istraživač-doktorant (2008-2009).Primarna oblast njenog istraživanja je procena bioloških aktivnosti sekundarnih biomolekula biljaka in vivo i in vitro, sa akcentom na njihov uticaj na metabolizam gvožđa u cilju potvrde i otkrivanja njihove potencijalne primene u terapiji ili preventivi bolesti povezane sa narušavanjem homeostaze gvožđa. Sa kolegama je osnovala dve firme. Prva je “HerbElixa” koja je razvila prirodni preparat “HerbELICO®” (na bazi etarskih ulja i koristi se za eliminaciju heliko bakterije), a druga je “FeJuice” koja razvija preparat, odnosno funkcionalnu hranu, koja može da pomogne u lečenju anemije, Sa kojima je osvojila mnoge nacionalne i internacionalne nagrade za inovativni biznis.
Autor je brojnih naučnih publikacija u renomiranim međunarodnim časopisima.
 Udata je i majka je dvoje dece.

 

Marija Lesjak was born on February 6, 1984, in Novi Sad, Serbia. After completing high school at the "Jovan Jovanović-Zmaj" Gymnasium in Novi Sad, specializing in natural sciences and mathematics, she enrolled in undergraduate studies in Chemistry, specializing in Biochemistry, at the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Environmental Protection, Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad, graduating in 2007 with an average grade of 9.37. In the same year, she began her master's studies in Biochemistry, completing them a year later with a perfect grade of 10.00. In 2011, she obtained her Ph.D. from the same department, with an average grade of 9.80. During her first doctoral studies, she received a scholarship at UCL in London and pursued doctoral studies in Molecular Biology at University College London, Research Department of Structural and Molecular Biology, Division of Biosciences, London, UK, defending her doctoral dissertation in 2015.

At the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Environmental Protection, Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad, she held various academic positions, starting as a research trainee (2007-2010), research associate (2010-2012), scientific associate (2012-2013), assistant professor (2013-2018), associate professor (2018-2023), and since 2023, she has been a full professor.

She has received numerous awards and recognitions both nationally and internationally, including the Special Award "Dr. Zoran Đinđić" for Young Scientists and Researchers for overall contribution to science awarded by the University of Novi Sad (2018), the "Start for Science" scholarship awarded by Philip Morris A.D. Niš in collaboration with the Center for Leadership Development in Serbia (2016), the national scholarship "LʼOréal-UNESCO For Women in Science," awarded by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development, the National Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO, and L'Oréal Balkan, Serbia (2016), the Award for the best young scientist of the Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad (2015), the prestigious Dr. Willmar Schwabe awards for young researchers awarded by the Society for Medicinal Plant and Natural Product Research (2011), the UCL Overseas Research Scholarship for doctoral studies in Molecular Biology at University College London, awarded by University College London, UK (2011-2015), and the scholarship of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia as a research doctoral student (2008-2009).

Her primary research interest lies in assessing the biological activities of secondary biomolecules in plants in vivo and in vitro, with a focus on their impact on iron metabolism to confirm and discover their potential applications in the therapy or prevention of diseases related to iron homeostasis disruption. She co-founded two companies with colleagues: "HerbElixa," which developed the natural product "HerbELICO®" (based on essential oils and used to eliminate Helicobacter pylori), and "FeJuice," which develops a product, or functional food, that can help treat anemia. Together, they have won numerous national and international awards for innovative business ideas.

Marija Lesjak is the author of numerous scientific publications in reputable international journals. She is married and a mother of two children.

Zorana Srećkov, Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences (Field: Genetics and Plant Breeding), is employed as an associate professor at the Faculty of Environmental Agriculture, Educons University. Zorica Mrkonjić, docent sa zvanjem doktora nauka iz oblasti biohemije lekovitog bilja sa 12 godina iskustva u nastavi na Univerzitetu. Zaposlena je na Farmaceutskom fakultetu Univerziteta Privredna akademija u Novom Sadu od 2011. godine i predavala je botaniku i alergijske biljke. Od 2021. godine zaposlena je na Univerzitetu Edukons, Fakultet ekološke poljoprivrede, Sremska Kamenica, Srbija, gde je predaje predmete Botanika, Lekovito bilje i Funkcionalna hrana. Zorica Mrkonjić, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the field of biochemistry of medicinal plants with 12 years of teaching experience at the university level. She has been employed at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Privredna akademija in Novi Sad since 2011, where she taught botany and allergic plants. Since 2021, she has been employed at Educons University, Faculty of Environmental Agriculture in Sremska Kamenica, Serbia, where she teaches courses in Botany, Medicinal Plants, and Functional Food. Zorica has an H-index of 6 according to the Scopus database. She has participated in numerous domestic and international research projects and scientific conferences.

Dr Nataša Stojić je vanredni profesor na Fakultetu za zaštitu životne sredine Univerziteta Edukons. Na Univerzitetu radi 10 godina. Dr Stojić, predaje više predmeta na osnovnim, master i doktorskim studijama. Objavila je preko 100 naučnih radova u međunarodnim časopisima, kao i na međunarodnim i domaćim konferencijama. Pored nastave, bavi se istraživanjem u oblasti životne sredine, praćenjem zagađujućih materija u životnoj sredini, instrumentalnim tehnikama, kao i razvojem novih i unapređenjem postojećih analitičkih metoda za analizu zagađujućih materija u životnoj sredini. Učestvovala je u nekoliko međunarodnih kao i velikom broju domaćih projekata. Trenutno učestvuje u COST projektu koji se bavi analizom mikroplastike, Erasmus projektu čija je tema smanjenje ugljičnog otiska sportskih klubova i rukovdilac je istraživačkog radnog paketa na projektu Horizon koji ima za cilj povećanje kapaciteta institucije u oblasti mikroplastike, pokretanje inicijative za nacionalnu strategiju u oblasti mikroplastike kao i optimizaciju metode za analizu mikroplastike u zemljištu i vodi.

Dr. Nataša Stojić is an associate professor at the Faculty of Environmental Protection, Educons University. She has been working at the University for 10 years. Dr. Stojić teaches several courses at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels. She has published over 100 scientific papers in international journals, as well as presented at international and domestic conferences. In addition to teaching, she conducts research in the field of environmental protection, monitoring pollutants in the environment, instrumental techniques, and the development and improvement of analytical methods for analyzing environmental pollutants. She has participated in several international and numerous domestic projects. Currently, she is involved in a COST project focusing on microplastic analysis, an Erasmus project on reducing the carbon footprint of sports clubs, and leads a research work package on a Horizon project aimed at increasing institutional capacity in microplastics, initiating a national strategy initiative for microplastics, and optimizing methods for analyzing microplastics in soil and water.
